Torpedo Sand | IDOT #: FA-2

Description: Torpedo Sand is a fine aggregate with the largest particle size less then 3/8″. Yellowish, beige in color, it is washed and screened. Meets ASTM C 33 sand for concrete standard. This product is sold by the Ton.

Uses: Principally used in production of ready mixed concrete, dairy barn bedding, backfill, pipe bedding, septic mound systems. Also sandbox filler, beach sand or

mixed with planting soils to aid in aerating dense soils.

Mason Sand | IDOT #: FA-20

Description: Mason Sand is classified as a fine aggregate meeting ASTM C 144 for masonry mortar. Mason Sand is a fine particle sand. It is washed and double screened to be a finer sand and is lighter in color then Torpedo Sand. This product is sold by the Ton.

Uses: Mortar mix for masons, bunker sand for golf courses, beach sand, volleyball courts, can be used under vinyl swimming pool liners.

Pea Gravel | IDOT #: CA-16

Description: Pea Gravel is a mixture of small particles of river rock, can range in size from 1/8″ to 3/8″. It is light color, a blend of beige, tan, white, gray and can have small amounts of black and red stones. It is washed but may contain small amounts of sediment that will settle once in place. This product is sold by the Ton.

Uses: Can be used as a decorative product for landscaping, pathways, walkways, dog runs, driveways or driveway edging.

Grade 9

Description: Grade 9, a.k.a. Road Mix, a.k.a. Road Gravel is similar to Grade 8 Limestone but is brown in color and fractures easily. It is a compactable crushed aggregate that is mainly used for driveways and as a sub-base.This product is sold by the Ton.

Uses: Used for driveways and as a sub-base but is also commonly used for decorative landscape finish around trees, shrubs, walkways due to its non-corrosive properties.

3/4″ Washed Gravel

Description: 3/4” Washed Gravel is a stone light in color, a blend of beige, tan, white, gray and can have small amounts of black and red stones and rounded edges.This product is sold by the Ton.

Uses: Generally used as a decorative product as well as for drainage under patios, decks or other areas where drainage through stone is desired.

1 1/2″ Washed Gravel

Description: 1 1/2” Washed Gravel is an aggregate in a variety of neutral colors. It is light color, with a blend of beige, tan, white, gray and can have small amounts of black and red stones with rounded edges.This product is sold by the Ton.

Uses: This stone is commonly used for drainage, dog runs, under decks, and around swimming pools. It can also be used as a decorative border.

2 1/2″ Washed Gravel

Description: 2 1/2” Washed Gravel is stone light in color, with a blend of beige, tan, white, gray and can have small amounts of black and red stones and has rounded edges. This product is sold by the Ton.

Uses: This stone is often used as a decorative landscape material under trees or flower bed edging. It is also commonly used under decks and around swimming pools.
